What’s an Episcopalian?

Episcopalians come from all walks of life and from all social strata.  We are brought together by a church that is open and welcoming.  The Episcopal church does not expect every member to believe the same thing or to approach “church” in the same way.  We range from liberal to conservative and everything in between.  We find our commonality in joining at the Eucharist table to continue our dialogue.  The Episcopal Church relies on the three prongs of history, scripture, and reason.  We do not expect our members to check their brains at the door.  If you like to bring your brain with you to church, you might enjoy this video: “Father Matthew Presents Bible Inerrancy”.

Today, many people refer to themselves as “spiritual” rather than religious. We have room for you.  Check this out:  Spiritual but not Religious by The Rev. George Anne Boyle.

Some people are wary of organized religion because they feel it is an obstacle in their relationship with God.  It may very well have been.  But, many people who feel that way have found kindred spirits in the Episcopal Church.

If you shy away from organized religion, but you feel that you need some support on your spiritual journey, check us out.
