About us
Holy Family is a lively intergenerational community. We gather in traditional and alternative services, centered in Holy Scripture, to worship and serve in Christ’s name. At Holy Family, you will find relevant, honest preaching, celebration of the beautiful Episcopal liturgy and inspirational music, both traditional and new. Sunday mornings we gather at 9 AM. The first Sunday of the month is family Sunday when children and families worship together. On other Sundays, children enjoy a brief children’s talk following the opening hymn then process behind their own cross to church school. Children rejoin their families for communion at the Peace.
On Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM. we have a more casual service using different styles of music and alternative liturgies.
Holy Family is a Jubilee Ministry Center of the Episcopal Church. Working with NOAH (Neighbors Organized Against Hunger) food pantry and with COTS (Committee on the Shelterless), we have a joint discipleship in Christ with poor and oppressed people, wherever they are found, to meet basic human needs and to build a just society. We make a direct and dynamic link between our theology and our ethics – the talk of our faith and the walk of our faith. We invite our congregation to live out its prophetic role of empowering local people to “do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with their God” (Micah 6:8), and by responding to the Gospel’s call to “feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, clothe the naked, care for the sick, and visit the imprisoned” (Matthew 25:35).
